kino life before the discovery of the pearl was very simple, he is a peasant and a fisherman who lives with his wife Juana and baby coyotito. He used to wake up by the sound of nature, then eat breakfast with his wife. then he might go pearl diving. Even though he lives this poor life kino was happy with his life and family. Until his baby coyotito gets bitten by a scorpion and they aren't able to get a doctor treatment because they are poor. They find the pearl so this is supposed to make their life better, but it did the total opposite , kino lost the whole town and his wife. The first night someone tries to steal the pearl and that results in a scar on kino's face. And when it was going to get better and kino is supposed to sell the pearl, the opposite happens and it brings more trouble which results with kino killing someone and now they are on the run, their life changed from simple to complicated.

Kino’s Life was a life of any other native mexican living it the town of La Paz, he lived a simple life of peasantry before the discovery of the damned pearl that had his reputation tarnished as well as his family. Before the pearl he was neglected by the doctor since that he isn’t from his “class”, after that well comparing their lives we can see a great many of changes, They changed their staus, to greedy,Kino used to be a great man.
